This CSMS Presentation will focus on the development of plant models for propulsion system architecture selection and establishing a control system architecture. A control system architecture is the high level physical system/structure for controls including: ECUs, interfaces, serial data and other communication busses, key sensors, HMI and actuators added to base vehicle. In addition to this, any requirements that have been developed, energy management strategy research, and CAVs (Connected and Automated Vehicle) team interactions achieved in year one is within scope for this event. Additional focus areas of the presentation include: model-in-the-loop simulation methods, including model development strategy, requirements management, testing techniques, results evaluation, creation of a control architectures and how these processes are applied to optimum vehicle propulsion system architecture selection, controls development and achieving CAVs goals.
